Important:
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) cannot be disabled from your Nabu Casa account. If you want to turn it off, our Customer Support team can disable it for you.
Symptom
You have multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled for your Home Assistant Cloud account, and you no longer want to be prompted for a one-time code when you log in.
Before you start
- Once MFA is disabled, it cannot currently be enabled again.
- If you no longer have access to the authenticator application you used to set MFA up, refer to I lost the device that I use to generate the MFA token instead.
Resolution
Submit a ticket to our Customer Support team.
- Result: Multi-factor authentication is disabled.
- When logging into Home Assistant Cloud, you will no longer be prompted to provide a one-time code.
